Laundry Lady CEO Susan Toft has been nominated for the 2022 AusMumpreneur Awards, in the Women’s Champion and Service Business Categories.
The business, which offers pickup and delivery laundry services Australia wide, is looking to back up last year’s wins, where it took home multiple silver trophies.
The AusMumpreneur Awards presented by The Women’s Business School celebrate and recognise Australian mums in business achieving outstanding success in areas such as business excellence, customer service and empowerment for women.
The awards are designed to recognise the growing number of women who successfully balance motherhood and business in a way that suits their life and family.
Laundry Lady started as a solo operation on the Gold Coast back in 2012, and has since established itself as the country’s fastest-growing work from home laundry service.
“After being made redundant from my government job and saying goodbye to the corporate world, I took my lightbulb moment for a stress-free mobile laundry service and built it into a national brand,” Founder and CEO Susan says.
“I’m now proud to manage a Head Office team of six part-time staff (the majority who are busy mums themselves) and a team of 80-plus on the ground laundry contractors.”
It can be challenging to be a successful business woman while raising a family and Susan gives this advice for others thinking about starting their own enterprise.
“Surround yourself with like-minded individuals who will connect you to knowledge, build your network, and keep you motivated.”
