Laundry Lady celebrates two major award finalist nods

We’ve had a big few weeks here at Laundry Lady, with news breaking on two fronts. We’ve been nominated for the She & Success Business Awards in Canada, while back home we’ve made the finals of the Sunshine Coast Business Awards. It’s a good moment to pause and share it with the people who made it possible.

She & Success Business Awards: two nominations in Canada

Laundry Lady has been nominated in two categories at the 2026 She & Success Business Awards: Women in Tech and Community Impact. It’s Canada’s first national awards program recognising women entrepreneurs, founders and leaders, and the nomination came from within our own community, which makes it land a bit differently.

The Women in Tech nomination recognises our founder and CEO, Susan Toft, for the technology behind our platform. The Community Impact nomination reflects the work of our whole team and the Laundry Partners on the ground across Ontario, Alberta and British Columbia.

Sunshine Coast Business Awards: Advanced Technology finalist

Closer to home, Laundry Lady has also made the finals for Advanced Technology at the 2026 Sunshine Coast Business Awards. This one means a lot because it’s judged by our own local business community, the same community we started in a few years ago.

Being named a finalist here recognises our market maker platform, TimeBoss, which we’ve built to run a laundry pickup and delivery business at scale, matching customers with Laundry Partners, managing bookings, and keeping everything running smoothly behind the scenes. Also, our recent Laundry Lady App launch supports our growth and technology, making our customers’ lives much easier, and convenient.

What this says about where we’re headed

None of this happens without the people doing the actual work. Our Laundry Partners are the ones turning up at doorsteps, doing the wash, dry and fold, and building the relationships that keep customers coming back. Every nomination and every finalist spot is really a reflection of the whole team, wherever in the world they’re working from.

It also says something about how far the business has come. What started as a single-operator laundry service on the Sunshine Coast now runs across Australia, New Zealand and Canada, coming soon to the UK. Getting recognised for both technology and community impact shows the two things we’ve always tried to get right at the same time.

Thank you

To our customers who trust us with their laundry every week, to our Laundry Partners who make the pickups happen, to our Head Office team for the commitment, and to everyone who put our name forward for these awards, thank you. We wouldn’t be here without you.

We’ll share updates as both award processes move forward. In the meantime, if you haven’t booked with us yet, now’s a good time to see what the fuss is about.
