Starting a business can be a very timely and expensive adventure. You have to think about your business structure, create a business plan, think of a name, research your competitors, create a website and social media profiles, make a marketing plan, fund the idea and that’s all before you even open.
And it can be incredibly expensive, just getting a good website, logo and marketing materials together can cost you upwards of $20,000 and that’s before you start the digital promotion of it!
Many people look for franchise opportunities where the hard work is already done and you can benefit from being under another business’s brand, marketing and structure. There are many franchises for sale that you can purchase into, and even better some franchise from home opportunities.
One of the difficulties of buying a franchise business is that there is often a huge financial fee to join the franchise ranging from anywhere from $5,000 to $1million! It can take you quite a long time to make back your initial investment.
When we built the Laundry Lady model, we wanted it to be a business that would suit people who were looking to just earn some extra income to support their family right up to people who wanted to replace a full time income and more. We wanted to be able to offer low start up costs so that anyone who was committed to building their own business could join us with limited business setup costs.
Instead of following the expensive and long term commitment model of franchising, we decided a simpler option would be better for the type of people who want to join the Laundry Lady team and we followed an independent contractor model.
Our team of contractors all choose their own hours, work from their own homes and have flexibility over how much they work. It’s a great model that they can setup around their family commitments.
It’s a great opportunity to be your own boss and work for yourself and get the benefits of our booking system and marketing.
