Natasha, also known as Tash, joined our team in the beginning of 2022, and working from home with The Laundry Lady has been a gamechanger for her.
Her journey started after working as a drycleaner for 15 years. “I was at a stage where I knew I had to go back to work full time, but didn’t want to leave my then 3-year-old son and miss out on him growing up. When I saw the advertisement for The Laundry Lady on Facebook, I knew I had to look into it”, said Natasha.
After three years working as a Laundry Lady, she’s already worked with many different customers, such as families from her local community and businesses that don’t have the time or the space to tackle their laundry in house. Medical clinics, engineering companies, restaurants are a few examples.
In her words, “becoming a Laundry Lady felt like the perfect fit for me. Being a Laundry Lady lets me do what I love, but also gives me the freedom and flexibility of being there for every school event and important milestone”.
According to one of her customers, Angelica, Natasha has been great. “Excellent service, prompt, communicated well and did an excellent job with my laundry”.
How is her routine as a Laundry Lady?
We’re all about flexibility and convenience, but organisation is also one of the most important factors to become a successful contractor. Natasha, for example, has organised her schedule to be able to suit school drop-offs, laundry pickups and deliveries, and find some time for herself.
“My day starts with school drop-offs and then straight to pickups and deliveries. By 10:30 AM, I’m home and ready to work. When school holidays come, my son joins me for pickups and drop-offs and loves meeting my customers too. Working from home means more time with him”.
That gives her enough time to take care of the washing, drying, folding, and ironing. Even when she has some complex dresses and delicate items to deal with, as a Laundry Lady expert.
