Last month, at The Laundry Lady, we were very humbled to be named one of the QLD Government’s 100 Faces of Small Business! The program showcases the human stories behind our state’s diverse small businesses and highlights their unique experiences and inspiring stories. It aims to inspire others to start, grow and employ more staff for their own small business.
What you might not know about the Laundry Lady is that we now hire 11 independent contractors throughout Southeast Queensland. All of our contractors are mums or grandmothers, who want a flexible working arrangement that they can work around their kids, lifestyle and other commitments. They want to be their own boss, work on their own terms, and work from their own homes. The Laundry Lady model offers that, and we are growing all the time!
