Orange Sky Laundry are washing and drying clothes for free in Cyclone Debbie affected areas of North Queensland and flood affected communities in South East Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
The Laundry Lady is getting behind the boys at Orange Sky Laundry and we will be donating $2 from every pickup service booked with the Laundry Lady during the first week of April directly to Orange Sky Laundry. Just $60 can help 10 families get clean clothes during this crisis.
Having clean clothes when you’ve lost everything can be very small gesture that can have a massively positive impact on a family. Last night on the news I heard a family talking about how all of their clothes are muddy, and even the clothes that didn’t get caught in the flood smell muddy. Other families have lost their whole homes and only have the clothes on their backs. While many of us are complaining we can’t get our clothes dry because of all the rain, others have no electricity or working washing machines to even attempt their laundry.
If you’d like to donate directly to Orange Sky Laundry, go to: www.orangeskylaundry.org.au/donate.
If you have been affected by debbie or flooding, you can request laundry assistance in your area at: www.orangeskylaundry.org.au/debbie.
And if you haven’t been directly affected but still can’t get your clothes dry with all this wet weather, then Laundry Lady can help! Book online www.laundrylady.com.au.
