Laundry-busting business The Laundry Lady has thrown its support behind local basketball team Rip City, signing up as a sponsor for the bumper 2022 season.
In addition to its branding appearing on club uniforms, Laundry Lady will keep players’ jerseys, shorts and socks clean and fresh, ready for that next game as the NBL1 Team’s official laundry service provider!
President of Rip City Basketball Club, Matt Nason, says he is thrilled with the partnership as the University of Sunshine Coast (USC) team pushes towards its best season yet.
“The benefits of the engagement have been terrific straight out of the gate, with the laundry services for our players’ game day clothing delivering brilliant results in an easy to utilise and manageable fashion,” Nason says.
“The cleaning standard, presentation, pickup and delivery services are working like clockwork.”
Based on the Sunshine Coast, Rip City is a not-for-profit community basketball association with a family-centric culture.
“The continued positive development of our brand, presence and status in the community has made it easier for athletes and their families to find us and join the Rip City Basketball family,” Nason says.
“We proudly operate as a fully inclusive family environment with our programs catering for all age groups, skill levels and competition standards.”
Busy families – especially those who spend their weekends and weeknights attending training and sporting activities – and laundry go hand in hand, according to Laundry Lady founder and CEO, Susan Toft.
Susan, who has seen Laundry Lady through its startup phase back in 2012 to a multi award-winning national business, says the Rip City partnership is yet another way to support the community and spread the word about Laundry Lady’s time-saving services.
“We have a streamlined and market-leading digital system where customers can book online at the click of a button,” she says.
“With a 24-hour, door to door pickup and delivery, we’ve filled a niche in the market. The increase in demand for our professional and affordable services is testament to that.”
The Laundry Lady has grown to a team of 80-plus contractors Australia wide, and now operates across six states and territories.
Clients include a mix of residential and commercial customers, plus aged care, National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) participants, sporting teams, Airbnb and more.
“We’re very excited to be partnering with a club like Rip City basketball, and to offer some exciting giveaways and promotions in the months ahead.”
